WASHINGTON, D.C. (Reuters) – A majority of the U.S. House of Representatives voted Wednesday to approve a bill bipartisan to suspend the $31.4 trillion government debt ceiling. This was just five days prior to the deadline for avoiding a crippling default.
The vote on the bill continues. It must be approved by a Democratic majority in the Senate before Joe Biden signs it into law.
