Dallas-based Gap Concepts will open PostScript HTX, a "flirty, festive female-oriented restaurant and lounge", with a "saturated-pink backdrop" in Houston's Upper Kirby District by the fall.

PostScript HTX is taking over the Del Frisco Grille space that was vacated by the restaurant in 2018. The location will be at the Shops at Arrive River Oaks at 2800 Kirby Drive, a mixed-use project formerly called West Ave. Bryan Caswell is the James Beard Award-nominated Chef behind the former Houston restaurants Reef, El Real Tex-Mex Cafe and Little Bigs. He also worked as the consultant chef at Stella Sola, Jackson Street BBQ and Stella Sola.

Veeral Rathod is the founder and managing director of Gap Concepts, the former CEO of Spence Diamonds, and the founder of clothing innovator J.Hilburn. While our main focus is on women, we have adapted our design and concept to make it more appealing to male clients in Houston.

Jeffrey Abel, of Abel Design Group who worked on Mastro's Uptown Houston and Malibu locations, will design the 9,300 square-foot PostScript HTX space. According to a release, it will have an "eye-catching installation on the exterior of the building" and "plush and playful vignettes for different moods." PostScript HTX seats 393 guests in the main dining area, 75 customers in the cocktail and eating lounge and 26 on the garden patio that faces Arrive. A small patio faces Kirby Drive, and there's a private room with a bar and patio. It can seat 42 people for a dinner and 70 when combined. Erin Hicks, a Houston hospitality designer, is also involved in the project.

Construction Concepts & Design of Houston, headed by Josh Weisman is the contractor for the project.

The menu is still a mystery, but the release states that "offerings include sumptuous sharing plates, irreverent cocktail and a bounty Instagrammable moments." There will also be Press for Champagne doorbells, which ensure bubbles are delivered to booths as quickly as possible.

Obi Ibeto, co-founder of Gap Concepts said: 'Bryan set a delicious example for us at PostScript.' He was impressed by our concept, which is unlike anything else in the city. With his consulting expertise, we are in for an exciting dining experience with the menu that he created.
