A recall of ready-to-eat meat and poultry items has been expanded to include nearly 1.8 million pounds of additional products, totaling more than 11.7 million pounds. These products were distributed to restaurants and institutions across the nation, including items available on store shelves or in consumers' refrigerators or freezers. An issue was discovered during routine product testing of finished poultry products, identifying a source of listeria bacteria. No confirmed reports of illness related to the products have been made, but investigations are ongoing. For more information, concerned individuals can opt to contact the relevant service lines.
