Kepa Arrizabalaga joins Bournemouth on loan from Chelsea

Bournemouth has announced the signing of Kepa Arrizabalaga on a season-long loan from Chelsea. Arrizabalaga, who recently returned to Chelsea after a loan spell at Real Madrid, has also signed a one-year contract extension with Chelsea. The 29-year-old goalkeeper made 20 appearances last season and was a regular in the first half of the season due to an injury to Thibaut Courtois. However, another goalkeeper, Andriy Lunin, became the preferred choice for head coach Carlo Ancelotti. Despite his preference to remain at Madrid, Arrizabalaga returned to the Premier League as Lunin is still with the Spanish team. Arrizabalaga’s arrival at Bournemouth is seen as an exciting addition to their goalkeeping department.
