Nonprofit behavioral health provider Centerstone names new Illinois CEO

Centerstone, a nonprofit provider of behavioral health and addiction services, has promoted a new regional CEO for its Illinois operations. The new CEO, Karen Daley, is a licensed clinical social worker who has been with Centerstone for more than 20 years.

Centerstone, an Illinois-based nonprofit that provides behavioral health and addiction treatment, has appointed a new regional chief executive officer for its Illinois operations.

This week, the organization announced that Anne Tyree was named regional CEO of Illinois. She is currently Centerstone's Chief Operating Officer for Illinois. She replaces John Markley who retired as Illinois regional CEO at the end of 2022, after 37 years with Centerstone.

Tyree will continue to be based in Alton and will oversee Centerstone's $48million operations in Illinois. These include outpatient mental health services, crisis and suicide prevention, vocational training, housing support, and addiction treatment programs for both residential and outpatient populations. According to its website, Centerstone Illinois employs about 600 people and serves more than 12,000 individuals annually.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Tyree is Centerstone's regional chief operating officer (COO) since October 2018. She was previously its chief administrative officer, and held business development and administrative roles at Centerstone and its predecessor organizations for more than 20 years.

Tyree has a Bachelor's Degree in English from University of Illinois Chicago and a Masters of Public Administration with a focus on health policy and administration from American Public University.

Centerstone of America Inc., based in Nashville, Tennessee is a nonprofit organization that provides mental health treatment and addiction treatment. The company has offices in Illinois, Tennessee Florida and Indiana.

Centerstone of Illinois Inc., in its latest IRS filing, reported total revenues of $43.4 and total expenses of 41.8 million dollars for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2020.
