Hydrofoil water taxi startup Navier ready to start test runs in San Francisco Bay

Sampriti Battacharyya, CEO of Alameda's Navier electric boat company, said that the company is planning to test its water taxi services in San Francisco Bay next month.

Navier makes all-electric hydrofoil boat that glides on the water. They are similar to hydrofoil board popularized by Mark Zuckerberg. The company will begin production of its Navier 30 model at $375,000 per unit for direct consumer sales, and plan to launch the taxi service pilot in order to lay the foundation for commercial fleet sales.
