During his tenure on the Senate Banking Committee, he was a frequent critic to the SEC's efforts to enforce market regulations. According to Mr. Toomey’s financial disclosures he had invested in cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin, ether, and Solana. He traded the latter token at the collapsed crypto-exchange FTX.
